Machikon

Machikon (街コン) is a large matchmaking party event taking place in the whole town.

Unlike the typical matchmaking party, participants at least 100 people or more, in the scale larger ones events is about 3000 people.

It is one set in the same sex two or more people. They visit a few eateries in the venue. Often,  it is possible for participants to eat and drink at fixed prices by presenting the participation certificate, such as wristband with each store, as long as they finish within the time limit,

Origin is "Miyakon" of Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture, which was held in 2004. Then, Machikon has spread to cities across the country.

This kind of approach has been held across the country, as the event of "creation of meeting point" and "regional revitalization." It has attracted people's attention.

Paid vacation digestion

On January 15, the gist of the Labor Standards Law amendment Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare summarizes has been known. In order to facilitate the acquisition of paid leave, ministry will mandate the designation of paid vacation acquisition time of workers to companies.

Is it legal to have employees get vacations by using their paid leave?

There is no legal problem if employees get a summer vacation and New Year holidays with paid vacation.

There is no legal obligation that Obon and New Year shall be the holidays of employees.
